Hairstyle: Bun Undone

You can’t be both chic and casual? Yes you can! We’ll show you how to create the perfect bun for a few wonderful evening hours in just a few simple steps. And because Christmas is just around the corner: You can make this style look festive in an instant with a gold-tone bun cuff! What you need: ✔️ Scrunchy ✔️ Bun maker ✔️ Hair pins ✔️ Bun cuff This is how it goes: Tie a high ponytail and pull it through a bun maker. Now backcomb the hair a little and wrap it around the bun maker. Then: pin it in place! It doesn’t matter if it looks a bit wild. Place the bun cuff around the bun. Then pull the hair into place a little – and there you have the Bun Undone. As usual, you’ll find all the hair accessories and jewellery to match in our stores – drop in sometime! 😉

Bijou Brigitte at the BUNTE NEW FACES AWARD STYLE 2017

There were some amazing things going on in Berlin on 15 November. The most important young style pioneers in the worlds of fashion and the media were honoured at the BUNTE NEW FACES AWARD STYLE run by the Burda publishing house. So there were fantastic fashion fireworks all around – with Bijou Brigitte right at the heart of things! Viviane Geppert beams with delight in front of the BB camera Viviane Geppert guided us through the awards ceremony with her usual charm. Twins Lisa and Lena were voted „Influencers of the year“, a prize which, with over 12 million Instagram followers, they richly deserved! 👏  The Red Panther was presented to them by last year’s winner, Stefanie Giesinger. Munich-based Anna Heinrichs was awarded the prize in the „Fashion Designer“ category for her Horror Vacui fashion label. Young actress Lea van Acken impressed the jury with her unusual style and was chosen as this year’s „Style Icon“. The delighted winner spontaneously shared her prize with her stylist, Leandra Bendorf. Anna Heinrichs, Lisa and Lena, Stefanie Giesinger, Leandra Bendorf, Lea van Acken, Emilia Schüle, Viviane Geppert (left to right) After the awards ceremony, the party really got going. „The Grand“ was exactly the right place for it – a building full of history where the old walls with a morbid charm provided the perfect setting for us to show off as partners to the event. Our sparkling jewellery fitted in perfectly with the locale, and our earrings, colliers, bangles and clutches nearly outshone the celebs. The absolute highlight, however, was our floral photo wall. It seems the guests thought so too – they gathered in vast numbers in front of the magnificent golden blossoms and had their photos taken with masks. Our enchanting hostess Maria, in a dream of a dress from the Minx by Eva Lutz range, was happy to act as photographer and helped print out the pictures using our hashtag printer. Jack Strify and Riccardo Simmonetti smiled into the camera, as did Ellenie Salvo Gonzáles Influencers Riccardo Simonetti, Leila Lowfire, Tommy Hey and Andi Phoenix were among the stars posing for a souvenir photo. Actress Ellenie Salvo Gonzáles and designers Marina Hoermanseder and Dawid Tomaszewski also had lots of fun with our jewellery and our masks, taking plenty of photos too. The guests carried on celebrating late into the night, honouring the winners in style. It was great awards ceremony and an inspiring evening, with some wonderful guests – so thank you! P. S. If you need to look dazzling, you’ll find the latest jewellery and accessories in our stores. Why not drop by?

Clubbing with JOLIE

Dancing, celebrating, styling: The first of JOLIE’s parties in the „Jolie loves clubbing“ series was held in the Noho Club in Hamburg on 10 November. The two bloggers Michaela from Foxytrash and Vanity from Vanityreece were part of the party community, working hard to create their styles for the perfect night out. A Special Day with Sarah in Venice

What an eventful day! Last week, blogger Sarah from Chic Neverland gave us a guided tour of her home city of Venice – and she gave us one tip after another too J So what are you waiting for? Go out and book a ticket to the enchanting city of lagoons, print out this blog posting with all Sarah’s inside information and enjoy an unforgettable visit to this unique city! But firstly, let’s go through all the steps in order: To make sure we were armed for a long day packed with sightseeing, we kicked off with a delicious breakfast, of course. To do this, we met Sarah, who was wearing her latest Bijou Brigitte favourites, at Serra dei Giardini (Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi, 1254). In this fantastic café in a restored greenhouse, we first had a good long chat about the latest fashion trends before setting off along countless bridges and canals, past picturesque houses and breath-taking palaces. Our first stop, in classic style, was St Mark’s Square, which isn’t exactly a secret tip, but still a must for holiday snapshots, especially if it’s under water, as it was when we were there. 😉 So don’t forget the wellies, depending on when you visit! If you fancy some culture or if there’s a sudden shower of rain, dive into the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, with its changing exhibitions. Even though there’s so much to see here, every city trip needs to include a bit of shopping, of course. Sarah loves wandering around the elegant department store of Fondaco dei Tedeschi in the San Marco district. Don’t miss the spectacular view from the roof terrace there! From here, you can gaze across the Rialto bridge and the Canale Grande – which is worthwhile at any time of year! For a little in-between snack, why not try Rosticceria Gislon (Calle della Bissa, 5424)? We particularly recommend the mozzarella in carroza (mozzarella cheese fried in breadcrumbs). This is also where lots of the locals spend their lunch break. The best ice-cream with some lovely unusual flavours is available from Suso (Calle della Bissa, 5453), which is practically next door. It’s so hard to choose! If you like making your way between fruit, vegetable and flower stalls, you must see the lovely Mercato di Rialto (San Polo, Campo de la Pescaria). Hearing the Venetians haggle passionately with the stallholders will put you in a holiday mood straight away! When your feet start to ache a little, you can travel a few stops with the vaporetto (public ferry) and enjoy the city and its very special atmosphere from the water. Sarah recommends Line 1 along the Canale Grande, past the Rialto bridge, the impressive Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and St Mark’s Square. If you want a classic touch and you’re prepared to spend the cash on it, relax and sit back in a gondola as you float through the canals (30 minutes of pure romance will cost around €80). One of the special highlights – which is ideal for Instagram lovers in the Aqua Alta bookshop (Calle Longa S. Maria Formosa, 5176/b), where new and second-hand books are piled in every corner and sometimes in gondolas too. And if all that walking up and down bridges is making you hungry, the Bancogiro (Campo San Giacometto, 122) is ideal for an Italian aperitivo with soda and a few little snacks (cicchetti). Then you can dine properly later, for example, in the Ristorante Local (Salizzada dei Greci, 3303). We recommend the fresh fish. Suitably fortified, you can bring the evening to a close in the student district of Campo Santa Margherita, where there are lots of trendy bars. Bussolai, which are typical Venetian biscuits, make the ideal gift to take home for your nearest and dearest. The historic Pasticceria Tonolo (Calle S. Pantalon, 3764) stocks some of the most delicious. Many thanks, dear Sarah, for all your great tips. This really was „A Special Day“! 😉 We hope that we’ve made you long for distant horizons, and in particular given you plenty of ideas for your trip to Venice! And who knows, perhaps you’ll spot Sarah in one of the many narrow streets in the city! For sure, you find her jewellery favourites in our stores!

Behind the scenes at the blogger photo shoot in Ibiza

Every day, we show you the sparkling world of Bijou Brigitte. It might be in images or in videos – but you always know that countless items of jewellery and accessories are waiting for you day after day! And the same is true of our next spring/summer collection. We photographed the highlights this time in Ibiza. And we also took eight of our favourite bloggers with us, who made the whole shoot really go with a swing. We’re offering you an exclusive sneak peek – take a look! First of all, everyone had to get dressed up, of course. Make-up artists and stylists arrived at an incredibly early hour to work with our bloggers. However, a delicious breakfast provided the necessary energy boost. And the shadows under our eyes disappeared almost of their own accord as we looked forward to the exciting days ahead. Everyone in one go: Nicole from coconuted, Mariagrazia from mariagraziaceraso, Heiva from La Petite Basque, Marie from Mary B., Amy from Toks, Marzia from Marzia Peragine, Selina from _me_selina_ and Ana from Blacksmith (from top left). So beautiful! We managed just fine on Cala Comte beach. Admittedly, we didn’t exactly swim like mermaids in the cool waters, but we did get sprinkled with a few drops to cool down a little. We were freshened up again by our stylists every so often, and our windswept hair styles were brought back into shape. A bit of yoga, meditation and relaxation in the mornings helped us start the day well! But our mobiles were never out of reach, of course, for a few selfies and Instagram stories. Apart from all the fantastic photos of the girls, we also made a sunny Ibiza movie for you too! How exciting! Enjoying a few delicious cocktails in the Nassau Beach Club in the evening was a great way to bring a brilliant, eventful day to a close. Cheers! Ultimately, we all had to return home again – to Germany, Italy, Spain and France! And finally – a massive thanks to all our lovely bloggers and to the team! All the lovely jewellery that we photographed for you will soon be appearing in our stores. Are you looking forward to it as much as we are?
