Our Top 5 Resolutions for the New Year!

We all know it! The countdown has barely finished, and we’ve only just welcomed in the New Year – and everyone’s coming out with New Year resolutions. And it goes on for days to start with. After you’ve wished each other a happy 2017, people start asking about the goals that you’ve undertaken for the next 365 days. It’s as if it were a mortal sin simply to wait and see what happens in life! Right at the top of most people’s lists is the resolution to lose weight. It’s no coincidence that lots of fitness studios are trying to lure us in with special offers now. So we all decide to take more exercise, eat more healthily, cut out sweets, go shopping less, and so on and so forth! And then? We all abandon our good New Year’s intentions again in February and just carry on like last year. But that’s not what we’re going to do! Because however ambitious and motivated most people are initially – once we’ve got caught up in everyday life again, we’re happy to take a quick drive out for a takeaway pizza after work. That’s why we’ve put together a list of the resolutions that our colleagues here in the office have adopted for 2017. You’ll see that it shouldn’t take too much effort to keep them! Relax more often!  The world won’t collapse if things aren’t always done IMMEDIATELY! We intend to pause every now and again, take time for ourselves and relax on the sofa with a good book. And when we do, we can snuggle up in a cosy knitted scarf too. See the sea! Admittedly, this resolution could be a little bit trickier to keep, depending on where you live. But you don’t actually need to go to the seaside! A trip out to a lake is just as good – you simply need to get out more. Alone or with your best friends, in summer or winter – a day by the sea or a lake clears the head. And we always take along our favourite necklace with the sweet little ship pendant. Fall in love! And we don’t just mean you singles out there! You don’t necessarily have to fall in love with someone else. Check out how you see yourself! Not with loving eyes, maybe? It’s time to change that in the New Year and love yourself a little bit more! For example, why not give yourself a treat with this sweet little heart set  Take more time for our favourite people! The most important thing that we have in life is our health and our favourite people! We’ve resolved that we’ll look after our nearest and dearest more again in 2017. Simply being there for each other and taking time to experience things that are a bit more unusual. The lovely pieces that the two girls are wearing in the picture here are home-made! You can obtain the materials for this at the P.cookery! Write more letters! „Write letters more often, because it’s not very likely that you’ll ever discover long-lost WhatsApp messages in the attic!“ We recently found this scribbled in marker pen on a post box somewhere. And it’s sooo true! So let’s pick up a pen now and again in the New Year and give people lots of pleasure with a letter! What are your resolutions for the New Year? Tell us here or on Facebook! We look forward to hearing your ideas!

Our diamond DIY – for even more bling under the Christmas tree

We’re not just mad about gifts at the moment – we’ve also gone DIY crazy. We’ve tried out this diamond-shaped gift packaging for ourselves, and we really love it. The best thing about it is that our diamond won’t just moulder away in a corner after the presents have been handed out. It will carry on straight to the festive Christmas tree, where it will be a beautifully glittering highlight. You’ll need the following for our DIY creation:  Our DIY template, which you can download here immediately.  White card or firm paper, to print out the template.  Glitter board of your choice. We’re still in love with our wonderful glittering versions in blue, red and silver.  Pencil, ruler and shears for drawing and cutting everything out perfectly. Please allow plenty of time.  Depending on taste and your choice of board, a good craft adhesive or that famous multipurpose weapon, the hot glue gun.  Matching gift ribbon for the bow and later for hanging on the tree. Once you’ve got all the materials and put your printer on, of course, you can get going. Print the template onto firm paper (or board) and cut it out carefully. Then you can take your lovely glitter paper or board, draw around the template and cut it out, being really careful once again. Well, you’ve done the most difficult thing now – that is, you haven’t produced any wavy lines as you cut out the shape. Now turn on the hot glue gun or, if you prefer craft adhesive, remove the cap from the tube. As soon as the glue gun has reached operating temperature or the adhesive tube is ready to go, you can get going on the sticking. Most importantly, try not to get glue all over your fingers. J Gradually dab glue onto all the flaps and carefully press them together. When you’ve stuck all the sides together and you can begin to see the beautiful shape of your diamond, leave the hexagonal cover open. This is where you’ll pop in the sparkling earrings for your best friend or the necklace for your beloved sister for the time being. Our ice flower duo is a real celebratory highlight. We’ve put together our bracelet with crystal stones and facetted pearls in delicate shades of light blue and the matching necklace with flowers. Our elegantly glittering diamond is just the right gift packaging for this. Or would you prefer the silver-tone statement necklace? A multitude of facetted glass stones creates the magic of this magnificent piece and shines as brightly as we do. Opulent earrings also make an enchanting gift. We’ve gone for these lovely designs full of glittering rhinestones and polished stones in shades of white and pink. Which pieces of jewellery and accessories are just waiting to be individually packed by you?

Individual teabags – an enchanting DIY gift

We’ve tested a new DIY idea for you and have joined the ranks of the teabag designers. Yes, really – designers. Teabag throwing is not something we go in for. These cute little teabags in the shape of a Christmas tree or a star will be enchanting at all your pre-Christmas tea parties. You’ll be able to surprise your favourite people and bring a happy smile to their excited faces. You’ll just need the following to help you do it: Tea filters, available in any drugstore or supermarket An embroidery needle and food-safe string – we mean the type of string that grandma used for her roulades Loose tea for the teabag. A pair of scissors to cut the finished work of art to size A little cardboard tag, which you can decorate to your heart’s delight A teapot and mugs for complete enjoyment Now you can get going. Get hold of a teabag, needle and thread and sew a Christmas tree or a star onto the teabag. Remember to leave enough space open at the top end of the teabag. Because that’s where you’re going to fill the bag with your favourite tea. So as soon as you’ve finished sewing, add the tea and then sew up the remaining side. And then, very carefully, use the scissors to cut out the shape you’ve designed. Then quickly sew on the cardboard tag, with a little message on it, and your unusual teabag is ready to give as a present. But there’s something missing, isn’t there? No gift à la Bijou Brigitte could be perfect without some lovely jewellery. Before the festivities, we recommend wonderfully glittering real silver jewellery. We’ve captured some sparkling stars from the sky for you, and this cute pair are hanging from an elegant silver necklace. Surrounded by little rhinestones, a single star decorates the bracelet with facetted pearls. The real silver pendant featuring a Christmas angel hugging a heart is just too cute. Maybe it’s a special message for your favourite people? Or maybe you’d prefer a pendant in the shape of an angel decorated with little rhinestones? We just can’t decide … Maybe you’re more a fan of clear lines. Naturally, we’ve also chosen some wonderful pieces for you too. Two round pendants, one with a smooth surface and the other full of rhinestones, decorate this elegant long necklace. And the relatively plain double ring with little rhinestone elements goes with it perfectly. So, have we given you an idea or two? Then get creative over a cup of tea and post your designs when you’ve finished them.

DIY-Advent wreath for people in a hurry

Now things are really moving towards Christmas in leaps and bounds. This Sunday is already the first Sunday in Advent! Apart from home-made biscuits, a cup of hot chocolate and a good book, what is the absolute must-have on such a relaxing day? An Advent wreath, of course! We too wanted to create a bit of a Christmas mood in the office, and so we’ve come up with the fastest DIY Advent wreath ever. The best thing about it is that it doesn’t look stuffy, and that you’ll probably find almost everything you need to make it at home or in the garden. You’ll need: 4 glasses / lanterns of various sizes Fir sprigs (ideally conifers) Pliers Spray adhesive These wonderfully fragrant lanterns are ready made! First, take a long winter walk and collect a few fir sprigs. Ideally, conifers are best for your unconventional Advent wreath, because these twigs can be easily laid around the glasses. When you get back home, you can make yourself a nice hot cup of tea and then get going. J Cut the conifer twigs into smaller pieces and spray them generously with the adhesive. Ideally, you should stand outside in the fresh air for this. Then you can stick the greenery around the glass. Finally, cut off any parts that are sticking out and repeat the process with the other glasses. After all, we want to have four little lights burning before Christmas. Advent is also the time of year when we think about what we’d like to give our loved ones at Christmas. You’re bound to make your best friend’s eyes light up with this lovely jewellery set. Instead of racking your brain about what gifts to choose for your loved ones, you could always write a wish list for yourself for once. This anthracite-coloured wrist watch with little black rhinestones and the matching bracelet should definitely be on the list! What do you mean, Father Christmas doesn’t exist? But he’s working here: http://www.bijou-brigitte.com/ 😉 For an Advent celebration with friends or a Christmas party with work colleagues: this arm jewellery set looks stunning, whatever the festive occasion. Worn individually, the sparkling rhinestone watch, closed infinity bangle or simple, open bracelet are also ideal for everyday wear, of course! We hope that we’ve been able to inspire you with this pre-Christmas decoration. We hope you have a lovely first Sunday in Advent, and look forward to seeing you again here next week!

DIY: Advent calendar – made with love!

We can hardly wait! When will Christmas finally be here? We’re counting the days until we can settle down comfortably around the Christmas tree with our loved ones. We’d like to make each day of waiting a little bit sweeter with some little surprises. There are unfinished Advent calendars all over the place already. But who wants to give a boring standard calendar as a gift? We’d rather make one ourselves and fill it with little sparkling pieces of jewellery of course. No time? No money? We won’t accept any excuses! Today, we’re showing you how you can make a great Advent calendar even if resources are tight. This is all you need: Picture frame Coloured card Gift wrap in your favourite colours Washi tape Scissors Adhesive tape Pins A little patience and a lot of love. The first thing to do is to make the 24 individual doors. To do this, you need to create envelopes of different sizes. Beforehand, think about what colours, shapes and styles you’d like to have. We decided on little letter envelopes in a Scandinavian style. Simply fold the paper crossway and take all the pointed ends to the middle. You can fold and stick three of the sides and then fill each envelope lovingly with the little surprises. Finally, stick the „Advent calendar doors“ shut with pretty stickers and label them with a number. You can use an old picture frame as the „carrier“ for your finished doors. To do this, remove the pane of glass, stick pretty coloured card over the back and fix your sweet little surprise envelopes in place with washi tape. And there you have your DIY calendar! Shine brightly like a diamond! This sparkling bracelet glitters like magical diamonds. The combination of rhinestones and rose gold is particularly lovely. The ideal piece for making a dazzling impact at the next party you go to. Anticipation is half the fun! What fashionista wouldn’t be delighted with such a gorgeous ring, which captivates everyone with its sparkling cubic zirconia stone? Pretty, faceted glass crystal stones in elegant midnight blue form the basis for this lovingly crafted angel pendant in 925 silver. The glowing glass crystals shining on the angel’s wings are a lovely highlight. Silent night! Holy night! …“ Finally, we’re allowed to open the last little door and find the perfect piece to wear on Christmas Eve. We’re totally in love with these opulent, radiant rhinestones.   We hope you have lots of fun following our ideas and giving away this lovely gift! Maybe you’d like to let us have a picture of your home-made Advent calendar on Facebook?

Rock ’n‘ Love – probably the most beautiful style surprise this autumn

What’s the most beautiful thing about the darker months of the year? We’ve put all our delicate summer dresses and pastel flower necklaces away until the spring comes. Now we can go for glamorous jewellery again, get our dark separates out of the wardrobe and put on our tough boots. This season’s most stunning look: the glam rock style! Sparkling sequins, shiny studs and haematite-coloured accessories are transforming strong materials such as patent and leather into elegant head-turners. Glamour + rock – this style works best with a completely black outfit. To make sure it doesn’t look too monotonous, you should make sure you combine lots of different materials. A tulle skirt with a casual cotton top? Fantastic! Studded boots with it, plus a leather jacket? Wonderful! A sequin clutch in the hand and rhinestone necklace around the neck? Just the thing! And there you have the most beautiful style surprise this autumn! All black! – Combine two black necklaces in different materials with a chic black top. A rock ’n‘ roll effect, don’t you think? Be wild and elegant! Smart earrings combined with rebellious studs create the ultimate glam rock style. We love it! And you? A metallic shine is essential for the glam rock look! So of course, this style really needs an authentic clutch, covered with little metal discs to create a mesh look. What’s your favourite piece of jewellery from our Rock ’n‘ Love collection? <3

Four hours and €500 – that’s quite a challenge … In the past, we’ve seen that a lot is expected of the fashion bloggers on Shopping Queen. Generally, they haven’t been able to bring the title to their home town. Why do you think this is? It’s always difficult to live up to the very high expectations that people have of the bloggers. The other participants often want to see the perfect outfit. But the perfect outfit cannot exist. You always have to fit in with the taste of the other competitors to have any hope. I’m sure that with my individual look, I wouldn’t stand a chance of winning the title. What would be your favourite motto of the week? And what do you really respect? Favourite: Vintage fashion or the 90s Greatest respect: Weddings We think that the candidates often don’t leave enough time to find trendy jewellery and cool accessories. How important are the „little“ details for you in creating a successful look? Little accessories and jewellery are very important! They underline the look and can massively glam up a fairly simple outfit. So the right accessories are an absolute essential if you want to win on Shopping Queen. Do you prefer gold or silver? Or is it OK with you if everything’s boldly mixed together? I mix everything up. I simply find a good mixture of silver and gold much more exciting. Do you have a favourite style and favourite pieces of jewellery at the moment? My current favourites are fake nose rings and tattoo necklaces. I simply love the 90s and these little pieces of jewellery actually give the cool 90s look that certain something. At the moment, chokers from the 90s are making a comeback. How do you like this trend? Do you have any idea which trends are going to be just inescapable in the next few weeks? The choker trend is cool, though I must say that I prefer the tattoo necklace. In general, however, I’m a big fan of almost any 90s trend, even the aberrations . Thank you very much for answering our questions! We’re really looking forward to seeing you as a shopping companion in Hamburg!

Trick or treat – Inspiration for a glamorous Halloween-Outfit

BOO! Who still remembers the exciting, super-scary Halloweens when they were children? The houses are decorated with spiders‘ webs, terrifying dolls decorate the house doors and children run impatiently up and down the streets in ghost costumes. Looking back, through, the full bags of sweets containing all sorts of delicious things were the absolute highlight. All those candies made the cold autumn days sweeter and gave you a sugar rush just by looking at them! Luckily, you’re never too old for a Halloween party! With beautifully decorated masks, splendidly gloomy jewellery and a lovely clutch, we’re providing some great new highlights and enjoying all the „ahhhhs“ and „oooohs“. Naturally, ideas for the perfect Halloween outfit vary completely, and there’s no limit to your imagination. Whether you want to look like a princess, a grisly Frankenstein or a romantic lady in the darkly romantic style – anything goes! Don’t fancy wearing elaborate make-up? A sequin-trimmed mask adds that certain something to any disguise and will be a great head-turner at the next party in the truest sense of the word. You’re allowed to go a little bit over the top at Halloween – and we don’t just mean with the sweets! A striking ring with black jet stones combined with glamorous nail varnish, and you’ll be wanting to give everyone your hand twice. A little tip: Your disguise will be absolutely perfect if you add a few spiders – not real ones, of course – to your outfit. You’re guaranteed to make your guests shudder!  What would an outfit be without earrings? You can add extra accents with stunning baroque-style drop earrings, which can be shown off perfectly if you wear your hair up. DIY: Give your boring glasses a luxury rosegold touch!

We’re in love  Jewellery and accessories in shining rose gold refined with matt black are our favourites this season! As a stylish combination, these fine-lined bracelets, closely fitting chokers and large creole earrings have conquered our hearts. Shimmering wallets and watches in our favourite colour are also making their way into our jewellery case this autumn. „Simple Lines“ is the motto! Whether it’s for a cool after-work look or for a respectable office outfit, these beauties are great for any occasion. Rose gold is always appropriate! Your girlfriends will be amazed! Why not invite them round for an elegant rose gold beauty evening? Whether it’s eyeshadow, nail varnish or hair ornaments – what matters is that everything shines and sparkles. And you’ll need the right decorations too, of course. Why not just give your boring sparkling wine glasses a graphic two-tone look? It’s really quick and easy. What do you need? Not a lot: Glasses Sticky tape Spray paint in rose gold and/or black First of all, find a few glasses that could do with a new look  Then carefully stick tape over everything that isn’t going to be painted! We’ve gone for a graphic pattern, leaving a bit of space for a clear view. Here’s a little tip: apply a little sticky tape on the inside too, because you only want to decorate your glass on the outside  Then the best thing is to place some old newspapers underneath so that everything stays nice and clean. Now you need to spray everything and leave it to dry. If you want, you can also seal the glass with clear paint, which will stop it getting too scratched during use! But be careful: You won’t be able to wash this glass in the dishwasher any more ^^ Pure Metallics! We’re delighted by these cool hair slides. After all, it’s not that bad if people actually see your hair clips now and again, is it? Are you going for a cool, casual look this autumn? Then this delicate necklace in two tones is just the right companion for you <3 This season, the „cut look“ is bang on trend again! Our haematite-coloured drop earrings can be combined with lots of looks just as you like, adding just the right fashion accents. Great for everyday wear, they go perfectly with any casual outfit but are also lovely with an evening dress. Pay particular attention to your hair. With this clear hair clip, you can skilfully show off your favourite hair style. This accessory is not too much or too little – it’s just perfect! And what goes best with your lovely new glasses? The right sparkling rosé! So now we just need to say Cheers!
