DIY: Jewellery-candle surprise for Mothers‘ Day

Mum’s the best! We know that, and we hope that most mums are told it often enough. But once a year, we like to show our love and recognition with a little, personal gift, just to say thank you. And then you probably have just the same problems as most other sons and daughters: You start wondering which gift is really good enough, and whether it will bring a smile to Mum’s face. It could be a painted portrait, of course (but only if you’re still a little child or maybe a great artist), a huge bouquet of flowers or a piece of jewellery. Are you looking for something different this year? What about our „packaging idea“? With our DIY, you only see the gift when a little piece of wax has melted off an aroma lamp. Firstly, gather together the following items: – An aroma lamp – Left-over wax from a scented candle – Oil – Aluminium foil – Tea lights – Lighter – Little tea light holders – A small, delicate piece of jewellery The first thing you need is a little candle wax: We simply grated an old scented candle. However, you’ll find ready-made granules in all sorts of colours in any craft shop. With this option, you then have to add a few drops of fragrant oil to the granules. First, you just need to melt the grated wax in the aroma lamp – to do this, add the wax at the top and light the tea light in the body of the lamp. Meanwhile, grease a little tea light glass with oil and wrap the jewellery in aluminium foil. Once the wax has melted, pour the liquid into the tea light holder and carefully place the prepared piece of jewellery in it. Now leave the pieces of wax to go cold and solid. Then remove it from the glass. Now the piece of wax just needs to be trimmed with a bow before you pack it into the (cleaned) aroma lamp and a fresh tea light. Just add a f ew little flowers and Mum will be delighted! We guarantee it! „M“ stands for Mum, Mummy, Mom or Ma: What’s your nickname for your mother? „C“ stands for character – what would we all be without our mothers? What particular characteristics do you get from her? „A“ stands for all-rounders: Mums have lots of jobs – taxi-driver, nurse, cleaning lady, counsellor, cook, arbitrator and lots more, with working hours that are just around the clock. Many thanks! What do you think of our gift idea! You’ll find all the alphabet necklaces and more gift ideas here.

White Wedding – Do’s and Don’ts for your perfect bridal look

How exciting! A wedding is and will always be one of the most important days in any woman’s life, and let’s be honest: We could go quite crazy at the thought! Now, take a deep breath and enjoy our list of do’s and don’ts for your perfect bridal look: Low-cut neckline, cut-outs, crop tops – trends come and go. You’ll keep your wedding photos for ever. Concentrate on your body and on the cut of the dress. Decorations, frills, ruffles etc. can also be added to it. For example, create a mood board with the clothes that you like. By the way, Pinterest is a virtual pin board that is just ideal for this. Smoky eyes and red lips create a classic, enchanting look. But red lipstick marks on the veil are not in the least appealing. Most brides therefore opt for natural, timeless make-up. The key words here are: waterproof and long-lasting! If you do decide on the smoky-eyed look, then use a good eyeshadow base beforehand so that it will last through the evening’s dancing. A coronet, circlet or garland of flowers? When it comes to hairstyles, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Naturally, the hair ornament you choose must go with the wedding dress. So you should first answer the question of what effect you want to achieve on the most beautiful day of your life. Romantic, playful, wild, classic or elegant – depending on your choice, you could wear a garland of flowers with coloured or white blossoms, a classic circlet with elegant pearls or a coronet for an enchanting princess look. Disguising you true self is and will always be the biggest „don’t“! Obviously, you don’t wear a bridal gown every day to walk down the street, but you should still feel comfortable in it. Stay authentic and don’t follow a particular trend, or lines like „but Carrie wore one just like it!“. Make sure it fits well and also that you can move around in it. It’s totally up to you whether you go for snow white, eggshell, champagne or maybe pink for your wedding dress! But maybe you or your favourite person have a favourite colour? This could then set the tone for your wedding. A Barbie wedding in every shade of pink, an underwater worlds wedding in aquamarine and blue or a completely white wedding – we think it’s really exciting. Never over-accessorize! Let’s paint you a mental image: Red patent wedding shoes, giant diamond drop earrings, bridal gloves with embroidery and lace plus a silver statement necklace with the pearls from a hundred oysters. It’s too much! Make sure your accessories go with the wedding dress and pick up individual elements, and that the individual pieces of jewellery go together. Whether you choose sparkling rhinestone jewellery, classic pearls or subtle silver for the most beautiful day of your life is up to you! However, we’re also happy to advise you in our stores! And finally, one last tip for your perfect bridal look: Happy girls are the prettiest!

Fashion highlight – discover trendy mother-of-pearl jewellery

Dusty and stuffy? No way! This season, shimmering jewellery in a mother-of-pearl look is celebrating a revival! The inner layers of sea shells have certainly earned the right to be worn on necks, arms or ears again. How could we neglect so much beauty for so long? The most beautiful material that Nature has to offer – real or imitation – shimmers seductively in the sunlight, making our outfits just right for the beach. We’ll show you in a few easy steps how you can keep and present your new mother-of-pearl jewellery in style. All you need is: Metallic acrylic paints Paintbrush Large sea shells Pearls Hot adhesive Firstly, paint the inside of the shells with metallic paint. Copper was the colour that particularly appealed to us this time. After leaving them to dry for a while, charge the adhesive gun and stick four pearls to the back of the shells. Then you have a little shell dish, where your new mother-of-pearl jewellery will feel completel at home. Romantic and elegant at the same time: This ring in rose gold with an imitation pink mother-of-pearl oval would like to be taken out for a sundowner on the beach. Did you know that the Greeks believed that pearls were dew from the moon? When we look at this necklace – made from Tahiti pearl – we can only agree 😉 Flip-flops, short white summer dresses, beach waves in the hair plus these large mother-of-pearl earrings – and you’ve got a sexy summer outfit for your holiday or a party in the back garden. These pretty little gems show that mother-of-pearl is also great for everyday wear. They shimmer so elegantly that they even go with blazers and a pencil skirt. Don’t you think? Have you taken a fresh look at this shimmering material again? You’ll find these pieces and other iridescent highlights from our new „Seashells“ collection here or in our stores!

Dicovered: Our Hotspots on Ibiza

Next stop Ibiza! We went to the beautiful island of Ibiza last weekend with the enchanting YouTube star Tara from Tamtambeauty and the wonderful blogger Palina Pralina.  Just like that? No, there was something to celebrate, of course! The open-air season is getting going again and the trendy Nassau Beach Club invited us to its Grand Opening. So we were able to experience the most colourful island in the Balearics for a day. Wild party or pure relaxation? You can find both on Ibiza. Our tip: The Finca Casa Munich in the south of the island, which has been converted into a boutique hotel, is ideal for relaxing. In Cas Costas, you can enjoy a delicious cava and freshly caught fish. And the best place for a sundowner is the stylish Nassau Beach Club. But see for yourself: By the way: Palina is drinking a „Pink“ champagne cocktail.  Fantastic! And how great our jewellery looks here too. WOW! Conclusion: A holiday on this Balearic Island is an absolute MUST! So it’s time for you to get off to the travel agent! Of course, it’s worth taking a look online for cheap flights too – April is set to be one of the most beautiful months on the island! Adiós y buen viaje!

DIY: Give cute eggs made from craft concrete!

It’s that time of year again – Easter is just around the corner! And now that you’ve finished the spring cleaning (or maybe not?!) and the sun’s shining in through the windows, you’ve got space to make a cute Easter decoration! You can be as bright and gaudy as you want. After all, little bunnies, brightly coloured eggs and so on only last for a few days. So it would really be a shame to have to dig deep in your pockets just to create a bit of an Easter mood at home, wouldn’t it? Forget painted eggs and home-made Easter baskets! We’ll show you how to make cool eggs out of craft concrete! First, gather together the following things from the DIY store, craft shop and your kitchen at home: Craft concrete Water and oil Blown out eggs Acrylic paints and brushes Container for mixing and a spoon It’s so easy!  First, you need to get the eggs ready. For lazy people, that means: Just tear open the packaging of the ready-blown eggs you’ve bought from the craft shop. For those who are more diligent: Using a large needle, make a hole at both ends of the egg and then widen the hole carefully. You can now blow out the egg over a bowl, until you’ve emptied out the egg white and yolk. Afterwards, clean the egg thoroughly on the inside and outside with detergent and leave it to dry for a while. After that, you need to put a few drops of oil into the egg and make sure that it’s completely oiled on the inside. Now mix the concrete as instructed by the manufacturer and then pour it into your egg mould. The concrete will be completely dry after 24 hours and you can peel the egg off. Paint it with metallic acrylic paint or trim it with bunny ears made of wire – let your creativity run wild when it comes to decorating the concrete eggs. As a great decoration for the breakfast table or a cute gift idea – these unconventional eggs look great anywhere. Your best friend will be all the more delighted if hers is decorated with a sweet little flower bracelet. This delicate bracelet made from lots of little rose quartz stones would like to be given away at Easter too. Did you realise that? This gemstone is said to be very important for the heart and to bring sensitivity, romance and love. Maybe you don’t necessarily want to hange little bunnies from your ears, but you’d still like to appear at the family brunch on Easter Sunday wearing the right accessories? Then these two items of jewellery are just the right thing for you! Aren’t they? Good news for those who don’t like pink! You can also wear shades of green at Easter, of course, as featured in this pretty floral statement necklace. Here, the tulip becomes the „gift wrap“! Your best friend will be delighted to find this ring on her Easter posy! A good idea, don’t you think? Will you be decorating your home at Easter and/or will you be doing something special for your loved ones? We look forward to hearing your comments!

Mix’n’Patch – cool patches for the Pimp My Closet Queens

Mix it! What’s a tiger got to do with a melon and an emoji? Nothing at all, but that doesn’t matter, because everything’s allowed with our new patches! The great fashion creators have picked up the 1990s trend and there’s almost no escaping the bomber jackets or denim pieces with brightly coloured patches sewn on. But why spend pots of money when the style is so easy to recreate on a low budgetet ? With our new patches, you can give the boring items in your wardrobe a cool touch and the best thing is that you’ll be your own designer! So until autumn (which is a long, long way away), the motto is: Mix’n’Patch – combine all sorts of different patches for a creative look. And if you ever go off any of your pimped clobber: No problem, our patches are pinned on and can be moved around anytime like brooches. But we’re not thinking about that for the moment. On your marks, get set, patch!  Casual bomber jackets are the best things to take a pin! On the shoulder or the breast pockets, it doesn’t matter where, but you need to have a good mix. We can’t tell you whether the tiger is hungry for melons, but one thing is certain: the emojis think it’s great.  Fancy the wide-eyed look? Here, we’re combining a number of trends from the Nineties: rolled up cropped jeans with coolly laced pastel sneakers and clever patches. Are you brave enough?  No-one needs to wear boring jeans any more! Cool patches make your everyday trousers wonderfully eye-catching and you’ll be all set for the next party. Anyone can use real blossoms in their hair, but they’re not really ideal for everyday use and soon get tired and hang their pretty little heads. Things are different with this sweet patch flower! Simply replace the pin with a hair clip and you’re instantly summer-ready!  Have you been longing for cool patches for ages, or have we just given you the idea now? Come with us on our „jewellery safari“

Do you hear the snorting of the elephants in the distance and feel the sense of endless freedom? We admit, we’ve drifted off into a daydream again as we photographed our new „Africa“ collection. Let us lead you off on a safari into the fascinating wilderness of Africa. Out in the grasslands, we meet sumptuous necklaces in beautifully worked wood. In the veldt, we come across large earrings and bracelets in antique gold tone. And richly coloured pearls glitter on the horizon. Longing to feel the fresh wind of the veldt? We’ve put together a little selection of treasures for you. Let us carry you away with us on our journey … wow, look! A rhino! It’s not a mirage! This antique gold-tone ring and the bracelet with wooden and gold discs are truly real and the best companions on your safari or in the day-to-day battle through the city jungle! Competition for the gazelles! The graceful drop earring with oblong wooden element and a bead in the trend colour greenery likes to go it alone. It looks particularly attractive on the ear if you just wear it on one side and combine it with a golden stud earring. Stick your neck out and go for it! 😉 Take a look at this! Get up close! This rare example of a statement necklace has filigree decorations and playful beads in ivory colours. That means it goes perfectly with the bracelet with lots of different wood and gold elements – don’t worry, they don’t bite 😉 After an exciting safari, we bring the day to a perfect close with a sundowner. How about wearing a wooden necklace with interlocking hoops for it? Combine it with a kaftan tied at the waist, and enjoy the breath-taking sunset! Naturally, you can wear this collection in the concrete jungle too and just enjoy the holiday mood. Will you be joining us on our trip, or would you rather transform your home town into a city jungle?
