Santa shoes for real glitz girls!

Have you been a good girl this year? – Of course, we’re all going to say yes!  The first Advent candle has been lit and everyone’s really looking forward to Christmas. But the great thing is that there’s going to be lots of surprises before then too.  We’re counting the days to St Nicholas‘ Day!  Have you started buying one or two presents and enjoyed your first glass of mulled wine yet? We’re starting to get into the Christmas mood, and we’d like to sweeten your anticipation with a very special DIY project for St Nicholas‘ Day. Santa Claus is coming to town! But has everyone been neat and tidy and cleaned their shoes properly? 😉 We’ll show you how you can create the shoe of the year in just a short time and turn yourself into a real glitter fairy. Your party shoes, or even the pumps you don’t wear any more, will be wonderfully eye-catching! Even Santa Claus will be dazzled. All that you need: a pair of shoes: pumps or high-heels spray adhesive glitter some old newspaper drying time Pour yourself a mug of mulled wine or a hot lumumba and then get yourself outside. Because you need to do this in well-ventilated surroundings! Firstly, clean the shoes well and then place some newspaper inside for protection. As soon as everything’s ready, you can start spraying on the adhesive. But don’t take too long, because it dries very quickly. Finally, you only need to sprinkle everything with lovely glitter powder. W simply covered the whole shoe in glitter. J And there you have the perfect eye-catching accessory for St Nicholas‘ Day! An absolute must-have for any fashionista. This matt black snake chain is crowned by dazzling black acrylic stones arranged in an opulent flower design. Don’t you just love this gorgeous creation? After all, you need to be rewarded for your efforts.  A sparkling piece that really loves to be put on show. This haematite-coloured bangle would be a great partner for the next Christmas party, wouldn’t it? We hope that you liked our last-minute ideas for St Nicholas‘ Day. Maybe you’ll show us the shoes you’ve created on Instagram.  We look forward to it.

DIY-Advent wreath for people in a hurry

Now things are really moving towards Christmas in leaps and bounds. This Sunday is already the first Sunday in Advent! Apart from home-made biscuits, a cup of hot chocolate and a good book, what is the absolute must-have on such a relaxing day? An Advent wreath, of course! We too wanted to create a bit of a Christmas mood in the office, and so we’ve come up with the fastest DIY Advent wreath ever. The best thing about it is that it doesn’t look stuffy, and that you’ll probably find almost everything you need to make it at home or in the garden. You’ll need: 4 glasses / lanterns of various sizes Fir sprigs (ideally conifers) Pliers Spray adhesive These wonderfully fragrant lanterns are ready made! First, take a long winter walk and collect a few fir sprigs. Ideally, conifers are best for your unconventional Advent wreath, because these twigs can be easily laid around the glasses. When you get back home, you can make yourself a nice hot cup of tea and then get going. J Cut the conifer twigs into smaller pieces and spray them generously with the adhesive. Ideally, you should stand outside in the fresh air for this. Then you can stick the greenery around the glass. Finally, cut off any parts that are sticking out and repeat the process with the other glasses. After all, we want to have four little lights burning before Christmas. Advent is also the time of year when we think about what we’d like to give our loved ones at Christmas. You’re bound to make your best friend’s eyes light up with this lovely jewellery set. Instead of racking your brain about what gifts to choose for your loved ones, you could always write a wish list for yourself for once. This anthracite-coloured wrist watch with little black rhinestones and the matching bracelet should definitely be on the list! What do you mean, Father Christmas doesn’t exist? But he’s working here: http://www.bijou-brigitte.com/ 😉 For an Advent celebration with friends or a Christmas party with work colleagues: this arm jewellery set looks stunning, whatever the festive occasion. Worn individually, the sparkling rhinestone watch, closed infinity bangle or simple, open bracelet are also ideal for everyday wear, of course! We hope that we’ve been able to inspire you with this pre-Christmas decoration. We hope you have a lovely first Sunday in Advent, and look forward to seeing you again here next week!

DIY: Advent calendar – made with love!

We can hardly wait! When will Christmas finally be here? We’re counting the days until we can settle down comfortably around the Christmas tree with our loved ones. We’d like to make each day of waiting a little bit sweeter with some little surprises. There are unfinished Advent calendars all over the place already. But who wants to give a boring standard calendar as a gift? We’d rather make one ourselves and fill it with little sparkling pieces of jewellery of course. No time? No money? We won’t accept any excuses! Today, we’re showing you how you can make a great Advent calendar even if resources are tight. This is all you need: Picture frame Coloured card Gift wrap in your favourite colours Washi tape Scissors Adhesive tape Pins A little patience and a lot of love. The first thing to do is to make the 24 individual doors. To do this, you need to create envelopes of different sizes. Beforehand, think about what colours, shapes and styles you’d like to have. We decided on little letter envelopes in a Scandinavian style. Simply fold the paper crossway and take all the pointed ends to the middle. You can fold and stick three of the sides and then fill each envelope lovingly with the little surprises. Finally, stick the „Advent calendar doors“ shut with pretty stickers and label them with a number. You can use an old picture frame as the „carrier“ for your finished doors. To do this, remove the pane of glass, stick pretty coloured card over the back and fix your sweet little surprise envelopes in place with washi tape. And there you have your DIY calendar! Shine brightly like a diamond! This sparkling bracelet glitters like magical diamonds. The combination of rhinestones and rose gold is particularly lovely. The ideal piece for making a dazzling impact at the next party you go to. Anticipation is half the fun! What fashionista wouldn’t be delighted with such a gorgeous ring, which captivates everyone with its sparkling cubic zirconia stone? Pretty, faceted glass crystal stones in elegant midnight blue form the basis for this lovingly crafted angel pendant in 925 silver. The glowing glass crystals shining on the angel’s wings are a lovely highlight. Silent night! Holy night! …“ Finally, we’re allowed to open the last little door and find the perfect piece to wear on Christmas Eve. We’re totally in love with these opulent, radiant rhinestones.   We hope you have lots of fun following our ideas and giving away this lovely gift! Maybe you’d like to let us have a picture of your home-made Advent calendar on Facebook?

Rock ’n‘ Love – probably the most beautiful style surprise this autumn

What’s the most beautiful thing about the darker months of the year? We’ve put all our delicate summer dresses and pastel flower necklaces away until the spring comes. Now we can go for glamorous jewellery again, get our dark separates out of the wardrobe and put on our tough boots. This season’s most stunning look: the glam rock style! Sparkling sequins, shiny studs and haematite-coloured accessories are transforming strong materials such as patent and leather into elegant head-turners. Glamour + rock – this style works best with a completely black outfit. To make sure it doesn’t look too monotonous, you should make sure you combine lots of different materials. A tulle skirt with a casual cotton top? Fantastic! Studded boots with it, plus a leather jacket? Wonderful! A sequin clutch in the hand and rhinestone necklace around the neck? Just the thing! And there you have the most beautiful style surprise this autumn! All black! – Combine two black necklaces in different materials with a chic black top. A rock ’n‘ roll effect, don’t you think? Be wild and elegant! Smart earrings combined with rebellious studs create the ultimate glam rock style. We love it! And you? A metallic shine is essential for the glam rock look! So of course, this style really needs an authentic clutch, covered with little metal discs to create a mesh look. What’s your favourite piece of jewellery from our Rock ’n‘ Love collection? <3

Presenting: Fashion blogger and fashionista Palina Pralina

Have you ever wondered who or what inspires us to create our pieces of jewellery, accessories, beauty tutorials and DIY ideas? We travel to the world’s most important fashion and jewellery shows, no fashion magazine is left unread by us and no fashion, beauty or DIY blog is safe from plunder by us . And we do all that so that we can keep on showing you the latest trends, the best looks and the most creative ideas. We particularly like to keep an eye on Palina’s blog. At palinapralina.com, she has been blogging since the end of 2012 about fashion, lifestyle, travel and events, always showing her very private side here too.  Then do it quickly! But firstly, we’re looking forward to getting to know Palina better: Hey Palina! We’re really pleased that you’re going to be joining us! Have you also always wanted to be a shopping companion for Shopping Queen, or would you rather be a candidate? Four hours and €500 – that’s quite a challenge … In the past, we’ve seen that a lot is expected of the fashion bloggers on Shopping Queen. Generally, they haven’t been able to bring the title to their home town. Why do you think this is? It’s always difficult to live up to the very high expectations that people have of the bloggers. The other participants often want to see the perfect outfit. But the perfect outfit cannot exist. You always have to fit in with the taste of the other competitors to have any hope. I’m sure that with my individual look, I wouldn’t stand a chance of winning the title. What would be your favourite motto of the week? And what do you really respect? Favourite: Vintage fashion or the 90s Greatest respect: Weddings We think that the candidates often don’t leave enough time to find trendy jewellery and cool accessories. How important are the „little“ details for you in creating a successful look? Little accessories and jewellery are very important! They underline the look and can massively glam up a fairly simple outfit. So the right accessories are an absolute essential if you want to win on Shopping Queen. Do you prefer gold or silver? Or is it OK with you if everything’s boldly mixed together? I mix everything up. I simply find a good mixture of silver and gold much more exciting. Do you have a favourite style and favourite pieces of jewellery at the moment? My current favourites are fake nose rings and tattoo necklaces. I simply love the 90s and these little pieces of jewellery actually give the cool 90s look that certain something. At the moment, chokers from the 90s are making a comeback. How do you like this trend? Do you have any idea which trends are going to be just inescapable in the next few weeks? The choker trend is cool, though I must say that I prefer the tattoo necklace. In general, however, I’m a big fan of almost any 90s trend, even the aberrations . Thank you very much for answering our questions! We’re really looking forward to seeing you as a shopping companion in Hamburg!

DIY: Give your boring glasses a luxury rosegold touch!

We’re in love  Jewellery and accessories in shining rose gold refined with matt black are our favourites this season! As a stylish combination, these fine-lined bracelets, closely fitting chokers and large creole earrings have conquered our hearts. Shimmering wallets and watches in our favourite colour are also making their way into our jewellery case this autumn. „Simple Lines“ is the motto! Whether it’s for a cool after-work look or for a respectable office outfit, these beauties are great for any occasion. Rose gold is always appropriate! Your girlfriends will be amazed! Why not invite them round for an elegant rose gold beauty evening? Whether it’s eyeshadow, nail varnish or hair ornaments – what matters is that everything shines and sparkles. And you’ll need the right decorations too, of course. Why not just give your boring sparkling wine glasses a graphic two-tone look? It’s really quick and easy. What do you need? Not a lot: Glasses Sticky tape Spray paint in rose gold and/or black First of all, find a few glasses that could do with a new look  Then carefully stick tape over everything that isn’t going to be painted! We’ve gone for a graphic pattern, leaving a bit of space for a clear view. Here’s a little tip: apply a little sticky tape on the inside too, because you only want to decorate your glass on the outside  Then the best thing is to place some old newspapers underneath so that everything stays nice and clean. Now you need to spray everything and leave it to dry. If you want, you can also seal the glass with clear paint, which will stop it getting too scratched during use! But be careful: You won’t be able to wash this glass in the dishwasher any more ^^ Pure Metallics! We’re delighted by these cool hair slides. After all, it’s not that bad if people actually see your hair clips now and again, is it? Are you going for a cool, casual look this autumn? Then this delicate necklace in two tones is just the right companion for you <3 This season, the „cut look“ is bang on trend again! Our haematite-coloured drop earrings can be combined with lots of looks just as you like, adding just the right fashion accents. Great for everyday wear, they go perfectly with any casual outfit but are also lovely with an evening dress. Pay particular attention to your hair. With this clear hair clip, you can skilfully show off your favourite hair style. This accessory is not too much or too little – it’s just perfect! And what goes best with your lovely new glasses? The right sparkling rosé! So now we just need to say Cheers!

Nordic chic

Along with elks, Bullerby and meatballs, the North is known for one thing above all: stylish design! Clean shapes and natural materials – the cool pared-down style is found not only in jewellery but also in decor. Do you love this trend as much as we do? Then bring a dash of boho Nordic charm into your home. This small concrete bowl captures the design of Scandinavian style perfectly. This is what you need: Two plastic Christmas baubles in different sizes that can be pulled apart and filled Fluid concrete from an art supplies shop or DIY store Acrylic paint with a metallic finish Oil for greasing A paintbrush A few spare minutes And this is how you go about it: Snap both acrylic baubles in half, grease them with oil and carefully fill one half of the larger bauble with a little concrete. Place half of the smaller bauble in the centre so that the concrete forms a hollow and is pressed high on the sides. It is important that you weight down the inner bauble a little, e.g. with sand or stones – there are plenty of these in the North. Now you’ve got to wait. And wait. And wait. In the meantime you could maybe take a short walk in the snow and feed elks or treat yourself to a sauna. When the concrete has dried completely, you can carefully remove the baubles. Now we come to the creative bit. Paint the inner hollow of the ‘bowl’ with metallic acrylic paint. A warm bronze tone looks particularly good here in contrast to the cold grey of the concrete. Allow to dry briefly and your Scandinavian-style bowls are finished. Naturally, we have the jewellery to go in our stores. With its corners and edges, the pendant’s Celtic design combines minimalist style with arresting wavy graining. In any case, it would be a great shame if you were only to wear this piece at the North Pole – under three layers of thermal underwear. Hewn straight from the rock – after you have climbed to an altitude of 3500 metres and encountered the yeti, of course. This could be your answer to the question of where you got this beautiful necklace. Hot! Even though the design we’re talking about is definitely cool. These earrings could even melt the Jostedal Glacier. Do you know it? You should go there and take a look – just don’t forget the earrings! Crafted with the utmost simplicity: the loveliest earrings! What’s your Nordic style? Tell us how you get ready for the autumn months!

Tutorial: Let’s twist again! – A casual hairstyle for a good hair day

You know how it is – on some days, your hair just won’t do what you want it to! Or you have no idea what to do with it for your first date, coffee with your girlfriends or a meeting at work. Forget stubborn, uncontrollable hair – we’ve got the right trick to sort it out, and you’ll find all the little helpers you need in our stores and online. Here’s how to have a good hair day in just a few steps: Preparation is everything! You know your hair best: give your hair a bit of support, whether it’s with wax, powder, spray, mousse or just on its own. Let’s twist! Now with one hand, hold your hair at the roots, wrap up the ends of the hair in the other hand and start to twist them inwards, in the right direction. Is there anything you want to change here? If not, continue to the next step. Now you need to pin the whole lot in place! Fix the twist with bobby pins. We have these in various colours in our range. Check beforehand which go best with your hair colour, then you can be sure that you’ve got plenty of hair pins to keep it in place! For extra hold! – large hair spirals are the ultimate secret tip to fix your French roll in place. And now for that little extra „something“. Little hair spirals with little blossoms, beads and stones will give your hairstyle a glamorous touch. Then fix with some (more) hairspray and there you go! Hello good hair day! Tip: If you pull a few strands of hair out of the twist at the end, you’ll look a bit more spontaneous – perfect for a girls‘ night out!
